HistoryStarved Rock Regional Center for Therapy and Child Development (SRRC) has been providing services in the area since 1947. That is when “LaSalle County Chapter for Crippled Children” was begun by Streator business leader Henry M. Light. The agency eventually changed its name to Easter Seals of LaSalle & Bureau Counties and then in 2015 to Starved Rock Regional Center for Therapy and Child Development. We continue to provide quality services to LaSalle and Bureau counties.

Black & White Ball
Mark your calendars and save the date! We are looking forward to having you join us at the ball on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at The Auditorium Ballroom in LaSalle. This year we're excited to offer entertainment with dueling pianos through the evening provided by Felix and Fingers. Appetizers, complementary martini bar for cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, music and more. Come ready to have some fun and bid on some neat auctions to benefit SRRC. |
Celebration Kid's Expo
Come enjoy our annual Celebration event, this year being formatted as a Kid's Expo! Held on Saturday June 29th, 2024 at the old Central School grounds near the new YMCA, 231 Albin Stevens Dr, Ottawa. The event runs from 9am-5pm. Admission is free and will include music, children’s activities and games, inflatables, raffles, vendors, demonstrations, a car show and much more! This year we are pairing up with a Food Truck Festival and Art in the Park going on at the same time so there will be so much to see and do! Wristbands will need to be purchased to enjoy the rides/inflatables and there will be some additional activities that may have a small cost involved such as face painting. Trunk or Treat
Trunk or Treat is back for year five! Scheduled for Saturday, October 19th, 2024, at the 4-H Fairgrounds, this family friendly night will have something for everyone. Games, inflatables hayrides, food, haunted house and of course...Trunks and Treats! Sensory hour will be available from 3-4 for our special kiddos who need a little less stimulation with fewer crowds and less noise. Grounds open to the public at 4 and the event runs until 8pm. This year we will also be hosting an Adult Night! Join us Friday, October 18th, 2024, for an adult pumpkin hunt. Abbynormal will be joining us to provide music and we will have bar service open!
