New Therapy Center!
In July 2025, we proudly expanded our services by purchasing a new building to house our therapy programs. This exciting milestone provides a modern, dedicated space designed specifically to support high-quality therapy services in a welcoming and child-friendly environment.
This move also allows us to grow our team, including the addition of a new occupational therapist, further enhancing the level of care and individualized support we provide to children and families.
Our new therapy location is conveniently located at:
1304 Gemini Circle, Suite 2
Ottawa, IL 61350
This expansion reflects our ongoing commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our community while continuing to deliver compassionate, expert care close to home.

What is Early Intervention?
Early Intervention refers to a coordinated system of services and supports designed to help infants and toddlers—from birth to age three—who may have developmental delays or disabilities. Just as importantly, these services are designed to support families, equipping them with the tools and knowledge needed to help their child succeed.
Early Intervention can include a variety of specialized services, such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and developmental therapy. Each plan is individualized, focusing on the unique strengths and needs of the child while incorporating family priorities and daily routines. Services are often provided in natural environments, such as the home or childcare setting, where children feel most comfortable and can learn through everyday experiences.
In many cases, Early Intervention services are publicly funded, offering free or reduced-cost care for children who meet state eligibility criteria for developmental delays. This ensures that families can access essential support without financial barriers during this critical stage of development.
At its core, Early Intervention is about building a strong foundation for the future. By addressing developmental needs early and partnering closely with families, we aim to help every child grow, learn, and reach their fullest potential from the very beginning.

Act Early
The first three years of a child’s life represent an extraordinary period of brain growth and development. By the age of two, a child’s brain has already reached nearly 80% of its adult size, making these early years a critical window for learning, connection, and skill development.
Because the brain is developing so rapidly during this time, early identification of any developmental delays or concerns is incredibly important. The sooner a child receives support, the greater the opportunity to strengthen key skills and positively influence their developmental path.
Early Intervention services play a vital role during this stage. Through targeted, evidence-based support, these services help children build essential skills in areas such as communication, movement, learning, and social interaction. Just as importantly, Early Intervention empowers families with strategies and guidance to support their child’s progress in everyday routines.
With the right support in place, children can gain confidence, improve their abilities, and develop a strong foundation for success in school and beyond.

The Autism Resource CenterThrough the support of The Coleman Foundation, The Autism Program, Illinois Department of Human Services, Hope Institute, and private donations; SRRC has been able to establish The Autism Resource Center. Since 2011, the Center has operated solely through local donations. The Autism Resource Center contains a wide variety of resources including visual supports, books, computer software used to create visual schedules, DVDs, games, structured teaching kits, learning aids, and other materials that address various issues affecting individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, their families, and the professionals with whom they work.
We currently have approximately 300 resources that can be borrowed for two weeks at a time at no charge. While we have several visual prompts already available, families and professionals can also create and individualize their own. They can be printed and laminated at no cost. We encourage you to visit the Autism Resource Center, which is open Monday – Friday from 9:00 to 5:00.
