The Child Development Center at SRRC offers high-quality, play-based childcare in an inclusive environment designed to support children of all abilities. Our developmentally appropriate approach ensures that each child’s individual needs are met while fostering learning, growth, and confidence.
Our experienced teachers provide exceptional care in warm, inviting classrooms, offering individualized instruction and ongoing monitoring of developmental milestones and goals. We partner closely with families to ensure each child’s experience at our center supports both their developmental needs and your family’s expectations.
To further support early development, we offer Ages and Stages evaluations when children reach the appropriate age, helping track progress and ensuring no child’s developmental needs are overlooked.
With seven classrooms, we serve children from six weeks through kindergarten.
Our DCFS-licensed facility is open Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing reliable, nurturing care for families in our community.

New Classrooms
In July 2025, SRRC took an exciting step forward in its continued growth by purchasing a new location dedicated exclusively to housing our therapy services. This expansion represents a significant investment in the future of our organization and, most importantly, in the children and families we serve.
With therapy services transitioning into this new space, we are able to reimagine and repurpose our former therapy areas into thoughtfully designed classrooms tailored specifically for infants and toddlers. These new learning environments will be developmentally appropriate, safe, and nurturing—supporting early childhood growth during some of the most critical stages of development.
In addition, we are creating a large motor room that will provide children with a safe, engaging space to move, explore, and build essential physical skills. This indoor area will be especially valuable during inclement weather, ensuring that children can remain active, play freely, and expend energy even when outdoor play isn’t possible. The space will support gross motor development, coordination, and overall well-being through structured and unstructured activities.
This expansion reflects SRRC’s ongoing commitment to innovation, accessibility, and high-quality care. By enhancing both our therapy and classroom environments, we are better equipped to meet the diverse developmental needs of every child while continuing to provide a supportive, enriching experience for families in our community.
